Cookie Policy

This policy covers astraia.travel, our website. It is separate from the Astraia app, and the distinction matters: the two do not share cookies, accounts, or analytics.

The app sets no cookies

The Astraia iOS app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no cross-app tracking. It stores a sign-in token and your preferences on your own device so you stay logged in — that is local storage on your phone, not a cookie, and it is never shared with anyone. Deleting the app removes it.

What the website sets

Two kinds of cookie, and nothing else:

• Strictly necessary. Our hosting provider may set a cookie needed to serve and secure the site. Without it the site cannot work properly, so it cannot be turned off.
• Analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_<id>) to count visits and show which pages people read. They usually expire after about two years. We use this only to understand whether the site is doing its job.

What analytics never sees

Google Analytics runs on the website only. It receives no account, scan, photo, journal, location or trip data, and it has no way to connect a website visit to anyone's account inside the app. We do not sell any of it, and there is no advertising network on this site.

How to opt out

• Refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site's content works fine without the analytics ones.
• Install Google's opt-out browser add-on, which blocks Google Analytics everywhere.
• Turn on your browser's "Do Not Track" or tracking-prevention setting. Safari and Firefox block these cookies by default.

Changes

If we start using cookies for anything beyond the above, we will update this page with a new effective date before doing so.
